Hey everyone, my name is Annie, in case that was not already clear. I really, really, really dislike introductions like this; I happen to be extremely awkward in person and apparently even more awkward in my writing, so I am going to jump right into answering some of those questions. What are my goals for this year? Well, considering that they are probably going to be very similar to everyone else's goals, I won't spend to much time talking about them. I want to make good grades, do well on my AP tests, figure out what exactly is this "college" thing I keep hearing people talk about, and hopefully start getting my life in order. At the very end of last year, I told myself that I would use this summer to get ready for all of those things and prepare myself for this year. Did I actually do this? Of course not! Why study and research colleges when you could reread Harry Potter and binge watch Parks and Recreation on Netflix? That is all that I did this summer. All. That. I. Did. I don't regret that though, I always have been horrible with procrastinating, and now I won't be able to procrastinate by rereading Harry Potter and binge watching Parks and Rec, so maybe this summer was not a complete waste of time. But doing these things left a very small amount of time for me to leave my basement, so unfortunately I did not have all too many meaningful moments. I did have a few, and I have to say the most meaningful of them was the time I got to see a llama at the petting zoo held at Jacobsen Park's Friday Night Flicks. The movie was Big Hero Six, there were way too many people there, and we left less than halfway through, but I was able to see an amazing llama and feed it delicious looking pellets, so it was all worth it. Llamas are seriously my favorite animal ever. If I could have any super power, it would be to be able to turn into a llama. I could run away from things at a relatively fast speed. People could make sweaters out of my fur. I could eat pellets from sweaty children's hands. I wouldn't have to figure out what a college is, because although I don't know what they are, I am pretty sure that your average llama has no need to be concerned about them.
As I wrap up this first blog post, I would like to talk about the picture -GIF to be more precise- that I chose for this assignment. Lots of people already know this about me, and I think that (other than you, Mr. Logsdon) anyone who cares enough to read this probably already knows this about me. But anyways, I am completely, insanely, unhealthily obsessed with pop singer/songwriter Taylor Alison Swift. If you were to look at one of those inaccurate maps they have children make of their brains in which they divide it into sections and label each section with things that they like, 93% of my sections would be filled with Taylor Swift. She pretty much consumes my entire life. For example, from the time that I have written this post till Sunday night, the only thing I will be able to think about is her new music video. It's an annoying aspect of my personality, I'm aware, but I don't really care.
Also, here's a link to my favorite website:
Thank you to everyone who spent the time to read this unnecessarily long description of my uneventful personality/life.
