Andrew Reese: Assignment 4

A lot of pictures have made people think differently about world events. Many of them are shocking and emotional. However, it is my opinion that this one in particular is special.

This is the famous image of several children in Vietnam running from a napalm strike. What i find most interesting about this image is that not only does it appeal to its audiences emotions, it was also used as a piece of evidence. Many images, like the one of the World Trade Center falling down, show events that everyone was already thinking about. And while those pictures still had value as far as getting people to fully understand the events that were happening at the time, I think that this one is special becaus the image itself was an important event. It showed people things going on that they didn't want to think about and forced people to confront something uncomfortable. That is why I think this is one of the most important photographs in history.
