Thanksgiving is a fun holiday for me. My mom's side of the family (which is HUGE) lives in Michigan while my dad's side of the family lives here in Lexington, so we rotate our locations for Christmas and Thanksgiving every year. This year we went to Michigan for Thanksgiving(I just got back home about 30 minutes ago). It was really fun aside from my cousins crying as if they were being killed only to find out that they wanted a cookie but couldn't have one. When we are up there, there are a couple traditions that we have. First, we almost always see a movie. This time we saw The Good Dinosaur because it was something that kids of all ages could see. To be honest, it was a real let down in my opinion for a pixar movie. Anyways, another tradition we have is we usually play a lot of board games up there, which can get old sometimes. The last main tradition is we have "Thanksmas" when we go up to Michigan for Thanksgiving. This is because we won't be up there for Christmas, so we have the big thanksgiving meal, then have our Christmas right after that. When we are in Lexington for Thanksgiving, we just have the big meal and then do Christmas like a week early. Overall, Thanksgiving is a great holiday and I love celebrating it in both Michigan and Lexington.
