How to Stop Online Harassment: A Simple Guide
We all know that online harassment is a big problem on social media. But a brave group of passionate committed individuals are going to do something about it. When someone sends death threats over the internet, most people know that this is just a shallow grab for attention. So we do the only thing we can: tell everyone on every social media site about it-that way the anonymous troll will be satisfied and leave. Some people have taken this above and beyond though, by going on talk shows and writing whole articles congratulating these people on how effective these threats are. But that isn't good enough. The Society for Getting People to Stop Sending Death Threats on the Internet for Having a Different Opinion (abbreviated SGPSSDTIHDO) has announced that they will now be giving out medals to people guilty of online harassment. "We feel that although previous attempts were very effective at letting trolls know they did their job, they would want something more," said the chairman. "Maybe this way, they will know for a fact that their threats did a very good job, giving them enough satisfaction to stop doing it."
