What genre of book is the best?
And yes, this is a pretty terrible prompt. But at least it's better than which animal you'd be.
Just saying, right off the bat: I'm really biased. Fantasy, fiction, sci-fi are all excellent genres. They allow for a lot of creativity - creating your own world from scratch and making it realistic while incorporating a ton of otherworldly and magical factors is a daunting task, and to do it well is a spectacular achievement. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Warriors (why??)...those series defined by elementary school experience. I think the extraordinary aspect of stories really appeals to me. Believing in impossibilities is exhausting and depressing in interesting ways but also unbelievably amazing. They are also really flexible because you can do whatever you want with how time works, geography, etc. There's always the chosen one and other storylines that are too often implemented, but it can work so well in so many ways....and this can be said for a whole lot of other types of stories as well. Historical fiction, romance, autobiographies are all good stories as well. They have the same goal, just different ways of achieving those aims.
I'm sorry - this is incredibly rushed. I thought this was due on the 13th...
sci-fi baby!!
