Post 9- Thomas Winterton
I say sadly that war is inevitable for earthlings. We as a species are easily corruptible by those we believe to be above us (dictators,) We allow notions of supernatural beings justifying and rewarding killing (certain religions, but in some cases all religions.) War must be used as a defensive, an "us or them" situation of sorts, I thoroughly believe all life is valuable, but I also sadly agree that taking life in protection of the innocent from an aggressor is necessary to preserve a wholesome moral fabric that society sorely needs. When you can't reason with a radical that would happily kill you because they believe they will be rewarded for doing so, do you try to convince them that the ideals they've been taught since they were children are wrong, putting yourself in danger, or do you fight and protect yourself? I am inclined to believe the latter. War is absolutely indescribable. But is necessary to preserve the greater good, and I would readily lay my life down in defense of the innocent if it meant protecting the greater good. No body likes a bully.
