Assignment 2:Kirby
So for the second entry here i have decided to talk about the biggest positive influence that technology has had on my life. About five or six years ago, i think it was in the spring, my dad had an episode at his office. he passed out and hit his head on the corner of his desk, they rushed him to the hospital but they cpuldnt figure out what had happened. about a month later he was at the hospital for a dermatology appointment when BAM, he went out cold again hitting his head on the wall this time and hitting it hard, they called an ambulance to take him across the parking lot and get an mir done, tuns out he'd fractured his head in the fall but it was hairline and not all that concerning, still being that this was the second time this had happened they decided to keep him and run some tests, after three or four days they hadn't figured it out so they called in some hotshot cardiologist, lets call him Mr. Aeorta. Mr. Aeorta came in spent five minutes looking at the monitor and realized the problem, the reason that nothing seemed wrong was that the doctors had been assuming that the momentary skips of a beat in the heart monitor were merely a sideefect of the older machine when in all actuality it was my dads heart stopping and and starting again. So Mr. Aeorta being the educated and knowledgeable man he is orders for the implant of a pacemaker into my red chest. for those of you who don't know what that is, a pacemaker is a small plutonium powered box that monitors the rate of your heart and jumpstarts it if necessary, they usually aren't found in many people under fifty at the youngest, well medal was thirty six years old and having one implanted in him. It wasn't an easy thing to go through but honestly I'm glad he has it, because i can't imagine my life with out him and I'm glad i don't have to. Thanks Pacemaker.
