My Family’s Thanksgiving
We don’t do much for the holiday each year, but it is always
spent with family, friends, and food. The important bits. The traditions we
have are just the normal ones, like having the traditional foods and watching
football. Other than that, we pretty much just go with whatever happens. If we
happen to be invited to a friend’s house for the day, that’s our plan. If not,
we’ll have a few friends over of our own. All of our family lives out of the
country, so we haven’t real ever had a proper ‘full’ holiday. There was
something special about this year though, in that my brother was visiting on
break for the first time. Every other thanksgiving he’s, well, lived with us.
This is his first year of college, and probably the longest time we’ve been separated
so it was quite nice to have the full crew back together for that time.
